TMG Begins First Phase of New Employee Onboarding System for JCI Metal Products

HAMPTON ROADS, VIRGINIA, 29 April 2010 - TMG, Inc. announces its partnership with JCI Metal Products, to design, develop, and implement a Realistic Job Preview (RJP) as the first phase of a comprehensive Onboarding System at their main office in San Diego, California.

JCI Metal Products has increased its workforce by 200% since January 2010 and identified the need to eliminate waste by streamlining their hiring and new employee orientation system. The Realistic Job Preview is the first phase in implementing an On-Boarding System designed to reduce the time from the identification of a labor requirement to a new employee performing his or her first job with minimal supervision.

The RJP is a web web-based recruitment tool and pre-application screening step that communicates job expectations, qualifications, and daily activities to prospective JCI candidates.  The goal is to share with potential JCI new hires the culture of JCI and the actual job requirements along with pre-requisites qualifications and the advantages of pursuing a career at JCI, as well as the capability to complete an on-line employee application.

JCI Metal Products is a full service sheet metal company with facilities in San Diego and Hawaii, specializes the fabrication, installation, modernization and repair of shipboard engineering, habitability, joiner and ventilation systems for the US Military and Maritime Industry.
