On August 10th Joe Barto IV attended the Continuous Improvement Lean Collaborative (CILC) 2017 Lean Systems Summit in Portland, Maine and conducted a full day workshop titled “Lean Champions: Maximize Business Performance through Lean, Six Sigma, and Team Performance Improvement”

The Continuous Improvement Lean Collaborative (CILC) is a not-for-profit, multistate network of public and private individuals, organizations, and companies who together promote continuous improvement in business, government, and services. Its goal is to provide opportunities for business, government, and service leaders to share enhanced approaches and methods for attaining greater excellence in operational effectiveness, efficiency, and value to customers, employees, and stakeholders.

During this workshop attendees learned how to lead High Performance Teams by aligning and executing a Lean, Six Sigma, & Team Performance Improvement strategy in order to maximize productivity. We also discussed best practices from organizations that have successfully integrated these 3 areas of training to engage their teammates, improve leader behaviors, and improve business performance.

“The workshop given by Joe Barto was an eye-opener from the start.  I learned that LEAN is not as much about waste as it is people and that engagement is so critical to creating an environment where idea’s flow to action so routinely as to resemble and organization behaving as such.   In leaving, I realized I can apply what I learned and have already started just two days out.”

“The leadership seminar conducted by Joe was excellent. I strongly urge any supply chain professional to seek out Joe’s next presentation in Boston in October.” - Kirk Frazee CPIM, CIRM, CSCP, MBA, APICS certified Instructor
