TMG is proud to announce the addition of Mike McBride and Renee Mannen to the TMG Team.

Mike & ReneeMike joins TMG as Continuous Improvement (CI) instructor, coach and mentor bringing over 20 years of experience in Quality and Process Improvement to the Team. He joins TMG after a long career with the U.S Naval Ship Maintenance Community where he started his career at Norfolk Naval Shipyard (NNSY) in the Quality Control Department. Mike joined NNSY’s Process Improvement Department in 2001 and, as a Lean Six Sigma Blackbelt, coached, mentored and facilitated Lean Six Sigma activities within numerous production shops. Later, as a division head, he managed and coordinated all Value Stream Analyses, their Rapid Improvement Plans and the associated Rapid Improvement Events and Projects. Mike planned, organized and implemented training on the principles of Lean, Six Sigma and Theory of Constraints. He assisted other external commands in C efforts, working with public and private shipyards as well as other Department of Defense agencies. He was also a trained inspector for the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) Inspector General Performance and Compliance Inspection (NPCI) process and supported IG NPCI teams across NAVSEA facilities. In 2011, Mike was selected as the Director for Continuous Improvement (CI) at the U.S. Naval Ship Repair Facility and Japan Regional Maintenance Center (SRF-JRMC) in Yokosuka, Japan. He was a direct report to the Commanding Officer, responsible for the deployment of CI across the command and a member of, and advisor to the Executive Steering Committee. Mike and his wife Cathy, of 32 years, reside in Poquoson, VA and enjoy being empty nesters since their two children, Christopher (30) and Matthew (23) are grown and gone!

Renee joins TMG as a Project Manager. In her role, she offers support to our Program Managers and our Partners. She comes to us with a background in Customer Service and Sales. Renee believes that we win when our partners win.  In her previous positions, she gained the knowledge that connecting with the people you are trying to help, the heart-beat of the business, and communicating your understanding back to them, helps everyone win.  Renee has studied at Old Dominion University seeking a major in Human Services. She was born and raised in Hampton, VA and recently purchased a home in Newport News with her fiancé and their dog, Jackson. On March 10, 2018, Renee will become Mrs. Joseph McNichol. What an exciting time for Renee!

As President and Founder of TMG, Joe Barto said it best, “I am so excited that Renee and Mike have made the commitment to the TMG Team.  Both of them are truly world class “athletes” who have proven just how much better they can make our TMG team. One of things I am most proud of is we use very Team Performance Improvement tool we teach our partners internally.  We drink our own Kool Aide and the result is the addition of teammates who will make our team better.  Our traditional “fleecing ceremony” as they cross over from the On-Boarding and join us a full time team mate.  Mike will become a Project Manager for the Lean Bronze Belt Program and will lead our support at Arconic Power and Propulsion’s Dover, NJ and Morristown, TN Plants.  Renee will be the Project Manager and lead the New Leader Identification, Training, and Development System at the Arconic Dover Castings and Alloy Plants.  Our entire team participates and we all re-commit ourselves to our values and our mission.  Please join me in welcoming Renee and Mike to the TMG Team.”
